How should I prepare for confession?
Preparation for confession begins with a sincere examination of conscience. Take time in quiet prayer to reflect on your thoughts, words, and actions. Ask the Holy Spirit for guidance.
What is the church's stance on fasting before communion?
Fasting before Holy Communion is a discipline of reverence. We are required to fast from all food and drink (except water and necessary medicine) for a specific period before receiving the Eucharist.
How do I explain my faith to friends who are non-believers?
The most powerful explanation of faith is a life lived in love, patience, and charity. Answer their questions honestly, do not be afraid to say 'I don't know, let me look into that'.
Is it okay to pray the liturgy at home if I am sick?
Absolutely. If illness prevents you from attending the church physically, God honors your desire to be there. You are encouraged to pray the hours, read the daily scriptures, and unite your prayers with the congregation from your home.
